Newcastle University Newcastle Work Experience (NWE)
Newcastle Work Experience allows regional SMEs to take on a Newcastle University student either during term-time or over the summer to complete a project-based work placement. Specific projects are designed by the company with cleary defind parameters and can cost either £200 or £600 (plus VAT) for SMEs 
Newcastle University Careers Service Assist students to find industrial and vacation placement opportunities and run term-time and summer projects that fit in with their academic studies.
Newcastle University Students Union  The Job Shop  Assist students to find part time, temporary and vacation employment opportunities that fit in with their academic studies. 
Newcastle University Graduate Apprentices Graduate Apprentices gives North East based organisations the opportunity to take on a recent Newcastle graduate for a 12 or 24 week placement. The programme is open to both SMEs and larger organisations and is able to offer funding towards the graduate's salary

The Careers and Employability Service helps students and graduates to make career decisions, develop skills through work experience (part time, vacation, paid projects, volunteering, graduate develoment programmes), understand the graduate recruitment market and become effective applicants for work or further study.
