Summer Placement Programme 2007: 25th June - 31st August 2007

20-30 vacancies for students completing their penultimate year of university

Our 10 week, Summer Placement Programme in 2007 will take place from 25th June - 31st August 2007. We have between 30 vacancies for students completing their penultimate year of university

Summer placements will be offered across the UK and accommodation will be provided; usually in the form of a self catered room in the nearest university halls to the assigned placement office. Salary will be equivalent to £14,000 per annum (pro rata for the 10 weeks) and students also receive 5 days paid holiday during the placement.

Students will go through a 3 stage process of application, telephone interview and assessment centre. Successful students will then be performance managed from the start providing continual feedback 1-1 sessions and will be encouraged to develop, ending with a placement review at the end of 10 weeks.

The successful candidates will then be offered a place on the graduate programme dependent on gaining a minimum 2:2 degree in their last year at university.

We endeavour to keep in contact with all students that are both successful and those that are not. Unsuccessful candidates are given a clear development guide as to how they can improve to make the criteria for the same year as the successful ones. We are keen that if we invest in these students that we give them best chance and maximum support to achieve this.

Graduate programme - next intake will start on 3rd September 2007

General Management: 20-25 vacancies

The first year on the scheme will be placed at one of our many customer facing offices around the country, for example Uddingston, Cardiff, Manchester, Leeds, and Leicester. After this, graduates generally change location and this could be to one of our head offices, Europe or North America.

Finance - 6 vacancies / IS Management: - 6 vacancies

The majority of roles are in head office locations but some roles may be in Stockport, Leeds or Leicester.

Engineering: 5-10 vacancies

Based in the North East / West of England

Pay and Benefits:

The starting salary is £24,000 with a £2100 taxable welcome bonus.

Flexible benefits packages equivalent to 3% of salary.
