NCWE and RateMyPlacement team up to promote quality work placements

NCWE and the undergraduate recruitment website RateMyPlacement.co.uk have teamed up to help raise awareness of employers that offer high quality work placement opportunities to students.

Created last year to fill the information gap for students looking for placements, RateMyPlacement.co.uk allows students who have completed a work placement (or internship) to submit a review of their experiences in a structured and controlled environment. The website contains over 1,000 student-written reviews that provide students searching for a placement or internship with invaluable peer-to-peer information about the role they wish to apply for, as well as the organisation and the location of the role.

Alongside the student reviews, RateMyPlacement.co.uk also provides employers with opportunities to promote their organisation and vacancies they may have. This further enhances the usefulness of the website as a resource for students, allowing them to match their expectations through understanding which roles and organisations would suit them.

RateMyPlacement.co.uk has just announced their Top 20 Placement Employers for 2007/08 based entirely on the student-written reviews. The Top 20 rewards employers with consistently high rated reviews and features NCWE Quality Mark accredited Marks & Spencer, Intel and GSK. 

RateMyPlacement are offering a 10% discount on advertising services to Quality Marked companies for the remainder of the 2008/9 recruitment campaign.

RateMyPlacement are also working with NCWE to promote small companies with less than 10 employees. This is a great opportunity for students on placement to gain experience in a number of disciplines, which is not always possible in the bigger companies.
