About Heinz

Nowhere in the world is the Heinz brand as strong as it is the UK and Ireland. Consumer surveys repeatedly demonstrate that Heinz is one of the most loved and trusted brands on the supermarket shelves. The company's icon products, including Baked Beanz, Tomato Ketchup, Spaghetti in Tomato Sauce, Cream of Tomato Soup and Salad Cream are not only grocery essentials holding number one share positions but also among the foods Brits would most miss away from home.

138 years ago, Henry J. Heinz had the innovative notion of packaging his products in glass bottles to show off their purity. The Heinz business took off and we've been coming up with great ideas ever since. The UK & Ireland business is also bringing more than 115 new products to the market during the course of the coming year. New recipes, new packaging and new categories are proving a hit with consumers such as multigrain pasta with Omega 3, Tomato Ketchup with a Twist of Sweet Onion, Garlic or Chilli, Snap Pots and Heinz's new Big Eat pot meals for teenagers.

About Our Placements

Each year Heinz offers a variety of placement opportunities to those looking to spend a year in industry. Placement participants are truly involved during their year at Heinz. The placements are designed to provide a fantastic opportunity to develop skills and gain invaluable experience in the FMCG sector and a specific functional area.

Running from July to July, a placement at Heinz will mean getting involved in objectives and projects that have a real impact on our business. During your time with the team, you'll enjoy the same status, responsibility, accountability, reviews and training as all our other people

Our reasons for applying for the Quality Mark accreditation

We decided to apply for the quality mark, as we believe we offer great opportunities to placements students, however, this is our own biased view and we wanted to see what the experts had to say. Here at Heinz we also like to encourage a 'feedback culture' as we believe this can contribute to people maximising their talents. Applying for the quality mark accreditation meant that we would receive detailed feedback on how we can improve our work placement experience in ways that we may not have previously thought of.

We also believe that the Quality Mark accreditation will enable us to attract the best talent and freshest thinking into our business, enabling us to take our business into the future more strongly and confidently than ever.
